Essentially, it is a follow up to improve the breast augmentation that was performed on a woman who has lost her breast or breasts due to a mastectomy or injury or who had a deformity.
Primary augmentation is the traditional breast augmentation that most people think of in terms of increasing the size and shape of a woman’s breasts. It is done strictly for aesthetic purposes, and the doctor will coach the patient on the pros and cons of undergoing such breast augmentation. Ultimately, however, it is up to the individual herself whether she truly wants breast augmentation surgery.
